I have enjoyed the Summer as much as the next stamper don't get me wrong . The long warm sunny days, yummy bbqs with friends and family, and driving around town with the windows down.  However, I have to confess I am excited about the fall coming as it will give me more time inside with my STAMPS!  And we all know how much I love getting inky :o)

So to jump start the season I have decided that I will be hosting another class in my home featuring what I believe is one of SU most versatile stamp sets "Lovely as a Tree."   We will be making three cards using just this stamp set and learning all kinds of techniques in the process.

We will be sponging and masking to make this background and stamping our tress over top using the "Stamp -a-ma-jig."  Note: you will also be able to add a greeting, I leave my blank until I need a card.

I will be teaching how to create the "pinta" background (it makes the paper look like old metal) this technique is super fun and looks fantastic when finished.  We will be doing some layering and sponging witth this card as well.
The last card we will be making uses sponging, double stamping and we get to use ribbon.

This class will be $15 for all three cards or free if you purchase $30 from Stampin' Up the night of the class. You will get to learn or if you already know them practice many new techniques. Don't free intimated because you have never stamp or took a class before, everyone is very patient and I will walk you every step. Come make wonderful cards, learn new techniques, and laugh with new and old friends. It will be a wonderful night out.

Hope to see you there

Cleaning up the Inky Mess

I have all this stuff from Stampin’ Up and for the most part I have found homes for everything however I have never been happy about the ink pad’s living space. Hard to get at, when I remove one I end up juggle or most cases dropping a bunch of them. I have been looking and pricing different ink pad holders and they cost a fair bit. Although I do need one I would rather spend my money on more ink and just deal with the leaning tower of inks.
So you can image how happy I was to see a DIY ink holder on Pintertest. Cheep and sounded (repeat sounded) easy enough to do and to top it off I get to work on a new project. Before I give you the link with the instructions I would like to offer a bit of advice.
1) She makes it look super fast and easy. Maybe it was just me but I found it every time consuming and a lot harder then she made it look, however I apparently can’t cut straight, use a ruler or line the pieces up evenly. All of which is a must with this project.
 2) She suggests using a pair of tweezers or a screwdriver for removing the foam in the slots I found using a skewer worked really well.

3) I found it easier to put together by adding a little of extra glue to the selves to help keep them in place until I could place the sides.

4) When she said she needed help I should have gotten better help then these guys :o)

Overall it was a long............ but fun process. I am not thrilled with the final product however it is not the worst thing I have ever done. Now I have a better idea of how it works my next foam board project should be better.

And here is my final  product

Thanks very much to
and the orginal poster
for posting these great posts and I look forward to reading more of your posts in the future.

Embossed Fun

I know, I know you must be getting tried of these show and tell posts. I promise I will start posting step by step instructions soon. I am a little busy tidying up my home as I have a lot of visitors passing through over the next month or so, once I get a free minute I hope to do a step by step post.

The following are three cards that I have done for loved ones with birthdays in the last few weeks. for the 1st two I was trying something new that I seen my Up Line do, however I didn't have the right tools so I had to do something a little different. Over all I was quite pleased with them, they looked very elegant and they came out even better then I thought they would.

The following card was done with one of my new embossing folder and my Big Shot. (I love my Big Shot) I CASE this one from my up line's, up line. Last month she sent me something like 10 sample cards and this idea was among them. I just loved it, the colors were vibrant and it looks so perfect for a teenage girl that I could not help but CASE it for my God Child.

Well that is it for now, off to tidy the spare room. Hope you enjoyed!

This is the last project for my June class. You get to do a lot of stamping with this one playing with the double stamp set. Also you will learn the basic skill of inking the edges, which is simple but adds so much depth to your projects. I think this project just screams Summer which is why it is added to my June class. You can place any greeting to the front I just choose "Thinking of you." The June Class will be held at my home on June 21st if you wish to attend please contact me for more info.

O.k every two days is not bad for a post, hey?

So the last post talked about the workshop I am hosting in my home this month and I showed you one of the projects we will be doing. Today I am going to be showing you the second project.

For this project I will be teaching the Faux Tile Technique. Look at the close up you can see how the image looks like tile. I think it is really cool looking and it is super easy to learn. I this this is the 1st technique I have tried where I like the 1st attempt so much that I could actually use it for a card. (normally I just throw them out until I get the technique down pat) What you see on this card was my 1st attempt. So like I said super easy! And just look at how beautiful it looks.

Got to run but look out for the next post to see the final project we will be doing in the June Workshop.

Hello,
Okay, here we go again. Another attempt to start posting regularly. Let's see how well I do this time around.

Tonight I would like to show you one of the projects, I will be teaching at my next workshop. During the workshop I will be teaching three projects.

Number one: Post-it-Note holder

This project is not only adorable and super fun to make it is also very useful. Small enough to put into your purse, yet cute enough that you will want to keep pulling it to show everyone. You may also want to give it away as a gift ... Wait don't get upset, I know you will find it hard to part with such a wonderful piece of art but remember you will be making this during a workshop so that means I will teach you step by step how to put this all together and when you leave the workshop I will be e-mailing out all the instructions for all the projects created in the workshop. You don't need to fret over who will get to keep this holder because you can make many more after you attend the workshop. If you are interested in attending this workshop or would like to learn more about how to host your own workshop please contact me @ Sabrina.moores@gmail.com

So if all goes well I will be posting again tomorrow. :o)

Christmas cards

O.K so I suck at keeping my blogs updated. I don't know why but I just cant' seem to take the time to take the pictures, post them and then write a quick entry. I am really going to try to get better, I promise.

In the meantime to tide you over until my next "highly anticipated" entry lol, here are a couple of Christmas cards I have completed.

In the second picture you can see how the easel card stands up. I just love these cards. Super easy to make and they look so nice on the mantel.
